Chairman’s Chat July-August 2010

Dear Fellow Photographers, colleagues and friends,
The recent Neil Turner workshop was a great success, with 18 delegates, plus committee members present. We were all treated to a very informative seminar session followed by the opportunity to put what we had learnt into practice, with one to one feedback from Neil. We all were struck by Neil’s control of flash outside, and every one present came away with new creative ideas that they put to use in their work. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Neil again for his time
Our next event is on the 11th of August and will be a afternoon plus evening event with Eileen Mason and her husband Bill Johnson. Together they run an incredibly successful portrait studio in the Midlands, turning over 1.2 million last year, this is a must see event, particularly for social photographers.
As with our last event, this is likely to be a big draw, so to avoid disappointment, please book your ticket early.
Some of you, particularly new members, may feel apprehensive about attending your first BIPP meeting, please don’t be. Come along and give us a try, we are a friendly group keen to share ideas and impart advice.

Bernard
